
On a bright May afternoon I pay my first to the Alaska Zoo. Some of the exhibits were vacant, but it was a fun tour of local critters who often come to the zoo battling injuries. The snow leopard is the first animal to really catch my attention deciding to come out and say hello.
One of the two brown bears at the zoo attempts to scavenge foliage from the other side of the fence while the cohort grizzly is hiding in a nearby pond of water (not seen in images):
